September 15, 2015 | Houston Harbaugh, P.C. announced that Adam M. Shestak has joined the firm as an associate in its Employment and Labor Practice.
Shestak concentrates his practice in both advisory and litigation capacities in matters concerning employment law. He has counseled employers on various issues such as employee discipline, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and anti-discrimination laws. In the litigation arena, Adam has successfully represented employers before both federal and state courts as well as administrative agencies including the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Prior to joining Houston Harbaugh, Adam practiced law in the State of North Carolina, including serving as an Assistant Attorney General with the North Carolina Department of Justice. He received his law degree from Duke University School of Law and a bachelor of science degree from Carnegie Mellon University where he graduated with honors.
